WHAT IS A PEPTIDE?

Peptides are chains of amino acids that occur naturally in the body and are meant to improve cell signaling. Peptides have dozens of uses from cancer therapies, to treating anemia, autoimmune disorders, diabetes and many other diseases. And that’s not all. Some peptides are even used to signal the production of proteins, while a named few actually function as hormones themselves. Furthermore, carrier peptides deliver nutrients where they are most required in the body, like the transportation of magnesium or copper to the skin for collagen production. As we age, peptides tend to decrease both in abundance and effective function. Beauty Lounge focuses on carrying Vitamins and Peptides that not only make you look fresh and beautiful, but that provide anti-aging, energy-boosting, and stress-reducing benefits. 

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

This depends on the injection you choose and whether or not it has a dosing limit. For example, it is recommended that Semaglutide be injected at the same time each week for approximately 12-16 weeks. Vitamin B12, on the other hand, does not have an upper limit of intake, and pacing of treatments is based on the patient’s preference and health needs. ARE THE INJECTIONS PAINFUL?

While pain feels different to everybody, the majority of our Vitamin & Peptide injections don’t cause any more pain than a standard injection. Some Clients report a stinging sensation during and shortly after the injection of B-Complex, due to the presence of B2 and B6. This stinging sensation is temporary and resolves shortly after injection. 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY PROCEDURE?

After the treatment, you may feel tender or sore to the site of injection. You may even notice minor bruising to the area. Any minor soreness, tenderness, or redness resulting from the injection should subside within 12-24 hours. After the treatment, you can expect to return to normal activities.
